King of the Cage to Give Up-and-Coming MMA Fighters Professional Opportunity with New "World Amateur Championships"

On Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Pearl inside the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, the first-of-its-kind event will have amateur fighters from around the globe competing for the chance at earning professional fighting contracts worth $250,000.

"Over the years, it has become increasingly difficult to start and develop a professional career in mixed martial arts. Our new concept gives fighters, who may otherwise go undiscovered, a chance to become part of, and grow with an organization," says Terry Trebilcock, owner and CEO of King of the Cage. "With the event airing worldwide we also put the fate of the fighters in the hands of the judges and the fans, both in the audience and those watching the live broadcast, who will have the opportunity to pick the most exciting fighters of the night."
A total of 40 amateur fighters from around the world will be chosen to compete in Las Vegas at the Pearl inside the Palms Casino Resort. Five of the best and most popular fighters will be awarded contracts: one contract for $100,000, two contracts for $50,000 and two contracts for $25,000. Winners will be determined by the combination of the judges, live audience members and viewers via online voting/text messaging. In 2014, the World Amateur Championships will expand around the country and feature multiple qualifying fights during the first 7 months of the year with finals slated for October in Las Vegas. Further details will be announced at a later date.

Future Legends 15 to be held on June 1st at Edgewater Casino in Laughlin, Nevada

The main event will feature Heavyweights Josh Powell and Rafik Darnakh. Powell, from Bakersfield, California, is 6' 3" and weighs 250 lbs. and is the #1 contender in the heavyweight division. Darnaakh, is a local favorite from Team Mad Dog, in Bullhead City, Arizona.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA (April 18, 2013) Fresh off their recent announcement of entering the Philippines furthering its global expansion, KOTC announced today that it will hold its first live event in the Prestigious Mall of Asia Arena July 5th in Manila.
Terry Trebilcock, CEO for King of the Cage states "It's exciting to be hosting our first event in the 20,000 seat arena in the Mall of Asia. We will actually beat the NBA into the Philippines. They are scheduled to hold their first event at the same venue in the fall of 2013".

 Rancho Cucamonga, CA (March 15, 2013) The Philippines has recently become a hot bed for talent in the combative sports world. The success of Manny Pacquiao and several up and coming Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters has put the Philippines near the top of the map for the future of combative athletes.
Today, King of the Cage (KOTC) announces a multi-year deal with a private equity group headed by international businessmen, Ray Young and finance expert Michael Brown. The group will be setting up an operating company in the Philippines for the purpose of promoting and developing multiple Live Events and bringing weekly broadcast television shows throughout the Philippines. The initial plan is to hold two (2) MMA events in 2013, launch the opening of a MMA gym to help develop local prospects and establish a TV broadcast partner for its global content in 2014 calendar.

Title Match Between Two Champions Plus Other Top Fighters Battle This Saturday at "Unification" at River Spirit Casino in Tulsa, OK
 King of the Cage action, featured weekly on both MAVTV and Azteca America, returns to the River Spirit Casino on Saturday Dec 8, 2012. This event entitled "Unification" is slated for eight mixed martial arts bouts in the state-of-the-art KOTC circular cage.
The main event of the evening is a highly anticipated unification title match between current KOTC Middleweight Champion Sean Strickland 9-0-0 (Corona, Ca) and KOTC Interim Middleweight Champion Josh Bryant 14-1-0 (Tulsa, Ok). Two champions enter but only one will leave with the title.
The co-main event showcases another one of Oklahoma's top fighters David Heath 17-7-0 (Tulsa, Ok). Heath, a veteran of some of the world's top organizations will face heavy-handed striker Chad Herrick 12-7-0 (East Tawas, MI). In a featured bout, heavyweights Cody East 3-1-0 (Las Lunas, NM) and Andenilson Clementino 3-2-0 (Brazil) battle it out for the second time. East, a former 2x state champion wrestler, came out the victor in the first fight over 6'7" former professional basketball player Clementino, but it's been over a year since their last meeting. Both fighters are undefeated at River Spirit Casino and need a win here to secure a shot at title contention.
The opening fight on our main card pits young prospects Zac Church 1-0-0 (Tulsa, Ok) versus Damon Jackson 1-0-0 (MO). This will be Church's third appearance on KOTC at River Spirit and his performances have been nothing less than electrifying. A big fan favorite Zac Church delivers every time, and this time he faces an opponent that holds a win over one of his teammates which may make it a little more personal.
The undercard hosts some of the area's top talent including Mat Thomas, C.L. Johnson, Billy Stimmel, Chad Brown, Sam Mullins, Josh Parrish, Shane Whittle and more.

"Future Legends 11" To Happen at Eastside Cannery Casino in Las Vegas, NV This Saturday Night
 King of the Cage, Inc., Magnaflow Exhaust products, and Lucas Oil present “Future Legends 11” -- Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Eastside Cannery Casino located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Future Legends series offers a platform where the top young up and coming fighters can earn fame fighting in front of a nationally televised audience on MAVTV and our Latin broadcast on Azteca America. The welterweight belt is up for grabs at this Future Legends 11 event.
Daniel Cuison, who currently holds a 5-1 record with KOTC, is very eager to further his career by adding the win and this belt to his list of achievements. Robert Hrcka 3-2 has a strong presence and will definitely be a challenge for Daniel.
Rosa “Rollie” Acevedo 3-1 is a tenacious fighter with strong stand up and good ground defense. She will rematch, Zuhey Quezada. These two met before in a previous fight with a controversial decision. Zuhey has really good jiu jitsu and was able to take Rosie to the ground. Zuhey did eventually bang out the win but its under much controversy.
“Fighters who come to leave it all in the cage and who have supporters that want see that happen are the fighters we want to see in our cage” says Matchmaker Al Joslin. He adds that this show will be the best in the series and the one not to miss as you may not see some of these guys on the amateur stage again.
