Main Events Include 3 Title Belts for King of the Cage - Imminent Danger “Live” on HD Net.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

imminent DangerMescalero, New Mexico. – 3 Championship Belts on the line “Live” on HD Net this Friday August 13th, King of the Cage, Imminent Danger from Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino.

King of the Cage returns to New Mexico for another fight card that will no doubt, be one of the biggest MMA wars of the year with 3 title belts on the line. 170 pound Welterweight Champion Quinn Mulhern set to take on local bad boy Levi Stout. Mulhern defends his belt with his amazing Jiu Jitsu skills that even Rich Clementi couldn’t get passed. Stout has a gigantic local following that will pack the house to watch him let his fist go to hopefully take the belt from the current champion. Michigan’s Darron Cruickshank will be showing up to take Bobby Greens Junior Welterweight belt at 160 pounds. Flamboyance and explosive hands will be tested against a calculated Cruikshank bringing an unbreakable chin and impeccable ground game as a NCAA wrestler. Mutually heavy hands with an 8-1 Amateur Record and 5-0 Pro MMA record, Cruickshank will definitely test the current champion. The last belt on the line will be Florida’s Tony Johnson vs California’s Daniel Cormier. This will be a test of chin and cardio, both fighters like to stand and trade. Johnson plans a nonstop battle to defend his newly attained belt and promises that Cormier will not take it. Young Phenom Tyler East will be fighting for his local fans in New Mexico and looks to continue Knocking Out anyone that stands across the cage. One of the meanest MMA fighters alive Gerald Lovato steps into his New Mexico backyard to take on Utah’s Trever Mellen. If this fight is anything like Lovato’s fights in the past you can count on seeing nothing but fists, elbows and knees. Gerald has the boxing hands of De La Hoya and the heart of a Lion. Look for a fast paced fight with nonstop action Mellen and Lovato will more than likely deliver from their feet.

Inn of the Mountain Gods will be hosting another King of the Cage “HD Net Live” show that will be a night of No Holds Barred Cagefighting action.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.kingofthecage.com, www.inofthemountaingods.com or you can call or visit the Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino. Toll-Free: (800) 545-9011

Bill Goldberg on the Cover of Gladiator!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TURBULENCE 2The current issue of Gladiator Magazine features one of the true superstars of sports entertainment, Bill Goldberg, who supported mixed martial arts during his years as a professional NFL football player and then as the most popular and famous professional wrestler of his generation. While people might only associate Goldberg with his in-ring persona, he was in fact one of the first pro athletes to make the jump from playing field to ring, where he then became an ealy supporter of cagefighting by opening one of the first MMA gyms in the U.S. in Atlanta, Georgia. In the late '90s, when the sport had been banned off pay-per-view and was struggling to survive, Goldberg gave the athletes of the day a place to train and gave hope to the entire MMA world that mainstream acceptance was coming. Never one to follow the crowd or be pressured to act against his inner sense of right and wrong, Goldberg continued to support and encourage crossover athletes such as Brock Lesnar, whom Goldberg fought in his final pro-wrestling appearance and then commentated on when Lesnar had his first MMA fight in EliteXC. In every facet of his life, Goldberg has brought the warrior spirit to whatever he does, whether it was growing up as a multi-sport athlete in Oklahoma, playing college and pro football, or appearing on Celebrity Apprentice or hosting such TV shows as Bullrun and Garage Mahal.

For MMA fans, this action-packed issue also includes event coverage of King of the Cage, Strikeforce, Ultimate Fighting Championship, and Gladiator Challenge and features such fighters as as "Shogun" Rua, Lyoto Machida, Chad Herrick, Mike Kyle, Alistair Overeem, Quinn Mulhern, Joe Doerkson, Jaime Jara and more! Submission Grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu fans can find a wealth of information reading a huge article on the final standings of Kipp Kollar's NAGA RANKED season, where Keegstra, Smith, Argyros repeated as champions. The new force of the jiu-jitsu world, Kayron Gracie, son of Gracie Barra founder Carlos Gracie Jr., flexed his muscles as he won his first black belt jiu-jitsu tournament ever entered in taking the Pan BJJ Tournament title! In addition to Kayron's heroics, the giant Pan BJJ article with tons of photos, also give individual and team final standings include the Alliance domination and the dual weight class/Absolute title runs by Bernardo Farias and Gabrielle Garcia.

Training and instruction also come your way courtesy of Rommel Dunbar, Eddie Deluca, and Tom Supnet, while Kid Peligro gives his keen insights into the jiu-jitsu world and Dr. Christian Harfouche fills us in on the latest happeneings at Karate College, the first cross-martial arts seminar in the U.S., now going strong for two-plus decades!

There is plenty more to read about including tuner tips on everyone's favorite second hobby, fixing up your car! Find out how to choose the best tires and rims to give your car that "new" look without breaking the bank, courtesy of the car gurus at Magnaflow. UFC creator Art Davie also gives us a tour of his tuned-up 2005 Tiburon, with lots of go-fast tips and fun fix-up ideas. Main Fight Card Set For
King of the Cage “Turbulence II”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TURBULENCE 2Lac du Flambeau, Wis. – Chicago’s Terry Martin, though only 29, has seen all sides of the octagon during his mixed martial arts career. He has fought at the highest levels, competing in the UFC, WEC, Strikeforce, Affliction and Adrenaline. And, he comes back home – so to speak – on April 24 when he fights Ted Worthington in King of the Cage’s “Turbulence II” at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino. Fights start at 8 p.m. in the convention center. Tickets are $75, $45 and $35. You must be 18 to attend the event.

At 18-8, Martin is trying to find his way by finding his weight. Always an undersized middleweight, Martin is now on his way down to welterweight. For this main event fight a catch weight of 175 pounds will be used. After winning 16 of his first 18, Martin is trying to stop a three-fight losing streak and reinvent himself in the 170-pound weight class.

“What fans are going to see in Terry is a fighter who is at a different level,” promoter Monte Cox said. “This move down to 170 pounds will put him on par, size-wise, with other fighters. He’s always fought bigger guys and it’s always been a big disadvantage to overcome.”

Worthington, though four years younger, has 45 professional bouts to his credit. Known as a gritty, never quit fighter, Worthington has had 11 fights go the distance.

“That’s the thing about Ted, he just never gives up,” Cox said. “That’s what I like about this matchup. Ted has the ability to fight any way you want to fight – on the ground, on your feet. He’s just so tough and a great challenge for Martin.”

A stellar four-man lightweight tournament also fills the main bill with fighters from Wisconsin, Nebraska, Illinois and Minnesota competing.

In the first matchup of the event, former KOTC champion Clay French (15-6) of Illinois takes on Sean Wilson (22-12) of Nebraska. French, a submission specialist, rarely has his fights go the distance and is 9-4 in his last 13 fights. Wilson, also a submission expert, has had only one of his 34 pro fights go the distance – his very first one nearly 10 years ago. He is coming off a win last month in Ring of Fire.

The second matchup features Minnesota’s Travis Perzynski (11-4) versus Wisconsin’s top-rated lightweight James Warfield (13-6). Perzynski, just 21 years old, has two fights against current or past UFC vets. He went the distance fighting up a weight class against “The Ultimate Fighter” finalist Tom Speer. Warfield has ruled the roost in the state for the past few years using a strong stand up style to finish most of his opponents.

In the final pro event, heavyweights Brian Ewers (2-2) of Iowa takes on Wisconsin’s Adam Kope (0-1) from Team Sixel. Also scheduled to appear on the card for “Turbulence II” are top local amateurs Shane Cadotte, Ryan White, Monty Cortwright, Aaron Wolfe, Tim Riebe, Josh Sterry and Tyler Hellenbrand
