June 12, 2005 Soboba Casino
San Jacinto, California

Well after a 4 hour drive from Lake Havasu
City Arizona to Hemet California, we have the weigh-in with all the fighters
checking in at the hotel. I do not think the average fan or fighter
understands what it takes to run successful shows. You always have a fighter
that can not make a scheduled fight for one reason or another. Then you have
the money for selling the tickets that has to be paid the night before the
event. This is a business and without ticket sales you have no shows! Terry
Trebilcock and Ted Williams are scrambling to collect ticket money and
making sure all the fighters have checked in and weighed in.
King of the Cage is now putting on several shows per year in both Southern
and Northern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Cleveland, Canada, Australia,
and the UK. KOTC is also now on Pay Per View, making King of the Cage one of
the biggest Mixed Martial Arts events in the world!
San Jacinto California Sunday June 12, 2005 with 18 scheduled fights you
knew this was going to be an exciting night of fights. The crowd was
electrifying and into the fights the entire night through all 18 fights,
this was a show that was worth the price of admission with submissions,
knockouts, and not one fight going the distance. The night had several
knockouts. There was tons of hot looking ladies in the crowd. The after
party at the night club and the blackjack tables were full of fight fans.
KOTC really has great shows.
My take on the night of fights was that it was more then worth the $40
general admission as we had just about every way of winning in a cage fight
as you can have. Most organizations only have around 8 fights a night, while
KOTC usually has between 15-18 fights. It was just an all around great night
of fun and King of the Cage owner Terry Trebilcock also has a little after
party for the fighters with food and soft drinks. Then you have the night
club which is a big party that includes dancing and of course the casino
gambling.
Props to Terry Trebilcock and Ted Williams for yet another great show!
