King of the Cage – Protégé
March 22, 2008 Avi Casino & Resort Laughlin Nevada
Not
like you need another reason to come to the River in Beautiful Laughlin
Nevada just outside Fort Mohave Arizona. This is the third show King of the
Cage has put on here in Laughlin Nevada. You need to schedule the entire
weekend when coming to the AVI Casino and Resort as you have several
different options such as water ski, fishing, boating, gambling, movies,
dinning, sports book, bowling alley five minutes across the bridge in Fort
Mohave Arizona.
Now to get the real action, King of the Cage is now having Amateur fights
and pro fights. Pro Fighters get paid to fight and Amateur fighters do not
get paid. It is a good way to gain valuable experience prior to going pro.
Shingo Kashiwagi is considering putting on an Amateur tournament of Amateurs
that have had a few fights and the winner would take it all and get a shot
at a Pro debut. I think King of the Cage is doing great things with the
Amateur fighters in helping them step up to Pro level. Once you make any
money off of a fight you are considered a Pro fighter and you can not
compete as an Amateur after you have received money to fight.
Well it was a full house here at the AVI Casino and Resort to see a night of
great fights.
The first fight of night started with two big
heavyweights. Fighting for Team Krazy was Archie Thompson who won over Jason
Squyer by TKO at :32 of round one. Ref steps in to stop the fight due to
uncontested punches (ground and pound)

one due to uncontested punches while mounted on back punches to side of the

two by submission due to a rear naked choke after a first round of action
packaged exchanges.

Ayala, 30-27 Salomone, Judge three Even. The fans did not agree with the
