Interview with Thricia Poovey

The world of Mixed Martial Arts is growing and evolving faster than any other pro-sport the world has ever seen. A very inspirational and dedicated change has come by way of a Woman's' division installed by Terry Trebblecock jr. and his superb King Of The Cage organization.

Terry has sought out female Mixed Martial Artists from all around the globe to showcase their skills as competitors in the fight game.

Hours before her outstanding victory over Tia Castillo at King Of The Cage "Caged Chaos", I was able to catch up with the very prominent and well spoken Thricia Poovey. Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennett pointed her out to me at the busy Avi Casino and said.. "Yo dude, interview her...she can kick some serious ass man"!...

Horse was not wrong about that and thanks to him I was able to have this brief but lucrative conversation with the now 3-2 Thricia Poovey. Thank you Thricia!

Jo-Jo: Thricia Poovey, it is fight night. You look like your in great shape. What are you going to do tonight? How are you going to handle this war set before you?
TH: I'm just going to go out and bang with her...That is what I got.

Jo-Jo: Are you going to try and keep it standing more or are you gonna work submissions? How do you see this happening in the end?
TH: I love the ground game but it's "Muy Thai Till' I Die". I want to stand and bang with her so.. if we keep it standing I'll be happy to get the KO. You know, no matter which way it goes...

Jo-Jo: So what is your record now in MMA?
TH: 2-2.

Jo-Jo: 2-2 is a pretty good record. Your fans would love to see you have a 3-2 record when this night is over. They all seem excited to watch you kick some ass!
TH: Thank you, It will be nice do do that too!

Jo-Jo: So, where are you training at and what is the name of your fight team?
TH: We train out of Almagordo, New Mexico. "TEAM HIT".

Jo-Jo: It will be very awesome to see you fight! Do you train Jiu-Jitsu some days then Muy Thai on others? What is your training regimen?
TH: However that day goes is the way it goes. We don't have a strict regiment because you never can tell with MMA. It's EVERYTHING.

Jo-Jo: How does it feel to fight on a live King Of The Cage event on Pay-Per-View for Terry?
TH: Exciting and true. Exactly how it's supposed to feel.
